I'll try Unreal too. Maybe I'll use it to make games too.

Well...

Post  Mr.Someone on Tue Aug 21, 2012 6:33 pm

Sorry for being a bit rude. pale

I uninstalled 3D Rad long time ago... I see this post only now.
I tried using FPSCreator. But it had too many limitations.
I tried using Cryengine. But it didn't work.
I tried using Unity. But it required lots of script.
I tried Unreal Engine... And well... It works for me!
If you want to do a level (not from scrap, but also using some textures and
other things from unreal) It requires no script! It's all about connections,
and has a difficult interface! But at least, if you want to do an animated cut-scene
in real-time, you don't need script! Amazing...
3D Rad was not my engine... But Unreal was. Wink
I've found my way, that's enough! Smile
Thanks for helping me, by the way!

P.S. You should do something about this forum... It's a good one, it just needs a bit of activity!

BYE!

You probably need to make a simpler rigidbody. Once you do that, then don't export a textured rigidbody. Export the rigidbody blank and then add a skinmesh. I wasn't replying because I couldn't get in to the forum for a long time, and then it was only up half the time, so when I tried to post, then it wasn't up and I kept forgetting later. Sorry about the delay.

I am deleting this post after five days, I am moving to another program.
I'll check this on august 4th, then I will delete the topic. It's taking
too much time for me... this kids' forum IS DEAD. The last post was made over two months ago.
If someone replies in time, I'll continue using 3D Rad and making games. I think the
Diskobox Paper made out of Mexican Burrito Adventure Part 1 will be delayed. The sketchs
and the models are ready. I will also delete all the traces of my account.
I tried every single video for exporting models, I even checked the official 3d rad page, but it doesn't work.

Sorry if I resurrected this dead forum. I also think the official forum site should host kids too.

Bye.

How do I get the Sketchup models in my game?

Post  Mr.Someone on Wed Jul 25, 2012 2:02 pm

Let me explain.

I am working on my own game, and I have practically no experience in 3D Rad, I downloaded the program four days ago.
The name is "The Diskobox Paper made out of Mexican Burrito Adventure!" Part 1, and is based on a comic I made on Paint,
but I don't know how to upload the image, so if you can answer that, thanks.
But the main problem is... I made a model with Sketchup, and I downloaded the plugin to insert them in 3D Rad. I selected
the fifth option (static rigidbody, if I remember) and saved it in the Rigidbody folder (in the index section).
But when I add the "rigidbody" element in 3D Rad, it shows me only the ones included in the program.

I've done something wrong?

I'm twelve (that's why I'm here in the kids' forum) and Italian, too. Maybe I've done some errors. I apologize.

I'll check tomorrow for an answer. Thanks!

EDIT: I just tried using the Dynamic Rigidbody option. Well, the program says there is a problem with the rigidbody, and when I load it
It's all a mess: the shadows, the lights and the textures are wrong.
